Procurement Agent Mgr K

Boeing Service Company is seeking a supplier management professional to manage several procurement agents located in various locations (primarily in northern VA and NM) who are responsible for the issuance and management of complex construction subcontracts in support of facilities related construction projects and services. These procurement agents perform activities related to committing company resources to purchase goods and services. The manager's duties will include: developing supplier strategies, development of bid packages, proposal analysis, and development of contracts. Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals. Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements. Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports. Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes. Provides oversight regarding negotiation processes and related tools. Manages, develops and motivates employees. Preferred candidate will have extensive experience with Government Procurements as well as working with the FAR's. Understanding of Program Management Best Practices and Supplier Management Best Practices is crucial. Proposal experience is also a key requirement. Individual will be required to collaborate with industry partners and customers to develop relationships to support a customer service focused approach to providing SM services. Manager will support a continuous improvement approach to managing program/procurement processes and proactively recommend solutions to leadership.
