Clearance Required: Yes - Not Required to Start Clearance Type: Interim Secret Responsible for the control, safeguarding, and accountability of all IT assets within PFPA under authority of the PFPA-Chief Information Officer (CIO). Ensures all IT assets are entered into the Defense Property and Accountability System (DPAS)/Master Inventory within 48 hours of receipt. Processes hand receipt transactions in DPAS/Master Inventory and maintains all documentation for IT assets that have been transferred from one hand receipt to another. Maintains records on warranties, service agreements, and the life cycle of IT assets and identifies those IT assets needing to be replaced, considered as excess to the PFPA mission, or having their maintenance/server packages updated. Coordinates with the Office of the Administrative Assistant to the Secretary of the Army, Directorate of Logistics (OAA-DOL), Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) approved organizations, or other government agencies, to schedule transfer and pick up of excess IT assets. Provides a copy of all excess transfers to the APO for processing and removal of IT assets from the property book in DPAS/Master Inventory. Ensures all storage facilities are limited access and have sufficient safeguards in place to prevent theft or misuse of equipment and supplies therein. Performs random inspections of IT assets, over $500.00, considered to be at high risk of being pilfered. Creates audit evaluation reports based on the random inspections and reports the results to the FPTD Director. Generates a monthly summary/report on all logistics activities and sends to COR and COTR. Conducts a 100% inventory check of all IT assets annually and prepares an evaluation report to the FPTD Director. Reconciles Inventory with PFPA Financial Management. Periodically reviews instructions, procedures, and requirements for the purpose of improving transactions and property system operations. Based on the periodic reviews, recommends changes and revisions to update the current asset management system. All proposed changes and revisions will be evaluated before final review and approval. The PCO / IT Asset Manager is supported by the Inventory Manager and Asset Specialist who assist in the control, safeguarding, and accountability of all IT assets within PFPA. Ensures all personnel scheduled to depart from PFPA out-process through the Inventory Manager, complete an inventory check, and reassign responsibility for property under their custody. Notifies the PFPA-CIO upon discovery of loss, damage, or destruction of Government property within 48 hours. Required: Years of experience (min) 3-5 Required: Degree Bachelors
