Producibility Engineer

In this role, the candidate will be responsible for Integrated Product Development (IPD) Producibility support of brazed, fabricated and assembled vapor cycle equipment, including, but not limited to, valves, rotating assemblies, and complex air, liquid, or vapor medium assemblies for aircraft applications. The successful candidate will work primarily in a team environment with Air Management Systems (AMS) Design Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering located in Windsor Locks CT and supplier plant sites in the development of cost competitive products and processes for new and existing AMS applications. These efforts will include, but are not limited to, design concept reviews and drawing reviews of AMS hardware, tooling review and coordination (including oversight of new program capital needs), manufacturing process development and manufacturing problem resolution.
The successful candidate will work closely with multiple engineering disciplines and business units in support and pursuit of Operations and Business unit objectives.
Candidate must be willing to travel periodically to support suppliers, plant sites and projects as required.

The candidate should have at least 4 years experience in a Manufacturing or Engineering environment with experience working with mechanical assemblies, manufacturing processes or materials.

Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
Experience with the use of the ACE tools is strongly preferred.
Candidate must be self directed, a self starter and be able to coordinate multiple project responsibilities.
Experience with vapor cycle and rotating assemblies is strongly preferred.
