Product Acceptance Specialist A\B

Verifies routine product conformance to design requirements. Provides objective evidence of results. Performs auditing, surveillance and monitoring. Identifies and documents discrepancies by using Blueprints and Structural drawings. Segregates and controls non-conforming items. Performs preliminary review and disposition of non-conformance. Conducts product review with customer during product or process verification. Identifies repetitive or significant non-conformances and initiates requests for corrective action. To be able to work in a aircraft manufacturing environment. General knowledge of assembly and production processes, manufacturing capabilities (e.g., composites, structures), and data needed for defining delivery configurations (e.g., design definition, program directives, engineering drawings, change memos, wiring diagrams and schematics, functional tests, supplier data). Ability to differentiate production (manufacturing) processes and requirements from in-service procedures and requirements. General ability to read, understand, and interpret engineering drawings and specifications. General knowledge of precision measurement tools and techniques for the inspection and validation of mechanical test hardware components and assemblies (e.g. conventional gages and measurement tools). General ability to document and report on results. General knowledge of Quality System processes, quality documentation and paper flow.

Typical Education/Experience
Level A - High school diploma or GED. Level B - High school diploma or GED and typically 1 or more years' related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Use math that includes addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, decimals and fractions. Use various types of precision measuring tools. Work alone/independently. Coordinate daily tasks with others to align priorities for smooth operation of joint workloads. Determine if discrepancies exist by obtaining information from multiple sources (e.g., drawings, shop communication). Preferred candidate will have experience working on the 787 program. All employees will be on the Boeing Charleston benefit structure. All Boeing Commercial Airplane Charleston positions require an online pre-employment assessment test. Candidates selected for the test will be notified via e-mail.
