Description :
General Purpose:
Assists with the initiatives related to product development for assigned product or products. Supports assigned product group by collecting and analyzing data related to assigned products, particularly in areas of customers, competition, features and product development.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Assists with the support of product development plans for specific product lines, including strategic product planning initiatives, product development, product analysis, and pricing strategies.
Performs collection of data for sales trends, margin analysis, cost trends, 80/20 exercises, and price adjustments.
Conducts market research in order to assess the competitive environment, understanding the competitive marketing strategies, market trends, product offerings, product gaps/ opportunities, pricing, and develops appropriate actions as required.
Understands market opportunities through analysis of market trends, obtaining end user, dealer, and field sales input, and conducting market research as needed.
Supports field sales and marketing by providing information needed for products and product specifications.
Provides product information to operations, customer service, and IT departments as needed in order to satisfy customer needs.

Other duties, as assigned, to meet departmental and company objectives.
Requirements :
Education Required:
Bachelors degree in a Business related field.
Experience Required:
1 year of marketing, market research, or related experience.
Product development, sales, furniture industry experience would be helpful.
Required Skills and Abilities:
Proficient in Microsoft Office Product Suite.
Proficient in Microsoft Project.
in Cognos preferred.
Effective communication skills with project team members, sales, marketing, and customers.
Ability to present to groups.
Ability to travel as required.
