Product Development Engineer - Telematics / Radio Head Unit Controller
The Product Development Engineer - Next Gen E1 Head Units is responsible for leading the design and development for Next Generation Uconnect Head Units and Telematic controllers. Support cross-functional team objectives and standardization. Generate Engineering quote packages in accordance with future product planning and strategy requirements. Manage quote process, supplier evaluations and requirements finalization. Develop and maintain Head Unit performance standards, product assurance plans, DVP&R, FMEA's and product development timelines.
Basic Qualifications:• Bachelors of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
• Minimum of 3 years experience in automotive engineering and product development
• Proficient in Microsoft office applications
• Minimum of 1 year experience in Embedded Controller specification development
Preferred Qualifications: • Masters of Science degree in Engineering
• Experience in the design and development of Connectvity & Infotainment components & systems is preferred including working knowledge of Hardware and Software designs
• Training in DFSS / FMEA / DVP&R
• Must excel in a team environment
• Must exhibit strong oral and written communication skills
• Strong planning and problem solving skills
• Experience with developing specifications in telegoic's DOORS
• Knowledge of Chrysler internal processes : EBOM/CN/STV/ISpeed/Fastcar/ Teamcenter
