What You'll Do
At John Deere's Construction and Forestry (C&F) division in Dubuque, Iowa, we are looking for a Product Engineer to be responsible for the Motor Grader cab design. In addition, you will:
* Participate on Product Delivery Process (PDP) team as a design lead, ensuring design activities and plans are formulated and followed.
* Lead the structure and components design for the Cabs on select product line.
* Participate on internal teams to drive methodology, processes, and tools to design Cab structures and components.
* Provide problem solving for Cab structures and components on new product development and current production.


We need someone with excellent communication skills who thrives on solving problems and working in a team environment. Ideally, you will have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Agricultural Engineering or similar discipline. We also require the following experience which can be fulfilled through an internship as well as practical experience:
* At least one year of previous engineering experience performing design, analysis, and/or testing work for a defined portion of a project.
* Experience with the design and manufacturing of structures.
* Knowledge of Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
* Experience with design of Mechanisms.
* Experience with Pro/E or similar 3D CAD program.
A strong candidate will also have:
* Knowledge of Accelerated Design Verification (ADV) testing procedures.
* Solid understanding of Construction, Forestry, or Agricultural equipment applications.
* Experience utilizing PDMLink.
* Understanding of plastic manufacturing processes.
* Understanding of operator ergonomics design.
* Knowledge of glass/polycarbonate materials for windows.
