Product Engineer-Certifications Location: San Marcos, TX Employment Type: Full Time Department: R&D (500) Description: Primary responsibility for the evaluation and certification of electrical heat tracing products. Also, provide electrical and/or mechanical design and engineering skills in the development of products and processes. Duties: Evaluate heating and associated products to various product safety standards, and then proceed to certification of the equipment. Stimulate and develop ideas and concepts and convert them into new products and technology. Provide technical development skills during the middle and final stages of product development/product qualification prior to market introduction. Ensure that manufacturing/purchase specifications are written and updated when a new product or upgrade of existing product occurs. Provide technical support/data to the Engineering Software staff to ensure up-to-date technical data is used in the development of design software. Provide status reports and communicate with the Product Engineering Manager concerning the status of all projects. Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering field. Prior research and development, engineering, and product support experience preferred.
