Product Engineer
Our client is looking for an
Production Engineer for a direct hire opportunity in Charlotte, North Carolina. This individual must have the ability to perform the following responsibilities:
Lead multiple projects and drive deliverables to meet targets, design criterion, cost, quality, reliability, manufacturability.
Support factory day-to-day sustaining issues.
Work with cross functional team to evaluate quality issues on existing products and develop solutions to improve overall product quality.
Work with special order team to exceed customer expectations.
Interface with design/drafting team to produce drawings detailing component, assembly, and engineering specifications.
Interface with suppliers to identify design solutions.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 5 plus years of experience in a technical discipline. An advanced degree in a technical field is highly desirable.
Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 2 plus years of experience in a technical discipline.
Background in HVAC systems.
Preferred candidate will have strong knowledge of fundamentals of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and the vapor compression cycle.
Working knowledge of electronic control systems is a plus.
Good organization skills, ability to manage critical tasks independently and work in collaboration with others are a must.
Strong communicational skills with proven ability to interact with cross functional team of design, marketing, service, manufacturing and R&D lab members.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to influence others in a fast-paced work environment.
Solid technical skills and analytical proficiency.
Some domestic and international travel may be required (10%).
