Job Goals: This position will be responsible for product management of Meldin® products and services by providing product leadership, sales support and marketing expertise. Develop and implement business product brand plans that promotes the development of new business and products while sustaining growth and meeting business unit sales and profit goals.
Primarily responsible for North American-wide management of the Meldin® materials product range. The Product Manager also provides support to other geographic areas which do not have dedicated product management resources, i.e., Asia or South America.
Education, Skills and Requirements: . Bachelor's Degree in Engineering; Master's Degree in business-related field a plus. . 5+ years experience in marketing or product applications. . Exposure to and experience in leveraging market research, advertising and other promotional activity with a high technology product. . Possess strong business administration skills, including the ability to be well organized, thorough, and detail-oriented and manage multiple priorities simultaneously. . Working knowledge of personal computer systems and must possess strong interpersonal, written, oral and presentation-style communication skills. . Influence and motivate others, especially those who are not direct reports, to help him/her accomplish desired results and goals. . Possess a well developed sense of urgency and personal optimism. . Travel (customers, trade shows, business meetings) approximately 25% of the time.
Responsibilities: . Collaborate with Seals customers/contacts to seek out and define applications into which Meldin® products can be sold defining potential long term success, launch strategy, volume potential, competitive factors and required resources. . In conjunction with Seals sales force, arranging and participating with sales efforts and sales-support (training, tech-service) as appropriate and required to enhance customer and/or field sales relationships, product knowledge and market trends. Correspond with Market Managers and other Product Managers to implement new initiatives on a global scale. . Collaborate with appropriate Seals marketing resources to arrange advertising, promotional programs, telemarketing and trade show participation to meet goals and objectives. Establish and manage marketing/product metrics. . Prepare, support and promote concise product, materials capability and manufacturing flexibility target marketing campaign for related industries. . Prepare, distribute, update and report on annual Brand Plans for Meldin® products. Regulatory compliance assessment and participation in market related professional groups/associations. . Coordinate with manufacturing operations to ensure effective pricing. . Exhibit safety awareness and safe work practices. . Perform other related duties as may be reasonably assigned in the course of business.
