Minco is seeking a Product Marketing Manager for our Flex Business Unit. The Product Marketing Manager will take a lead role in the development of product line strategies and the Business Unit strategic plan. The Product Marketing Manager will manage product lines to maximize profitability, aggregate customer and market inputs and develops sales and marketing plans for the Business Unit. Working with marketing communications the Product Marketing Manager will develop a marketing / promotional strategy to support the business and be a focal point between the inside and outside for all sales and marketing activities.
Job responsibilities: . Take a lead role in the development of product line strategies and the business unit strategic plan: o Harmonizes the product strategies into a business unit strategy that ensures healthy growth and profitability for the business unit. o Prepares the external analysis o Prepares the business analysis including SWOT o Evaluates technology roadmap and makes recommendations as to the future direction of the business unit technical capabilities o Ensures that product strategies are in alignment with overall company goals and objectives. . Manage product lines to maximize profitability o Drive product and customer segmentation programs and ensure compliance with various behaviors applicable to each segment. o Develop value added selling tools in conjunction with the applications engineers and the sales team. o Develop and implement pricing strategies appropriate for each segment. o Analyze product performance, product competitiveness, and product trends, then develop appropriate internal and/or external response strategies. o Assess potential partner relationships for the product. . Aggregate customer and market inputs and develop sales and marketing plans that: o Maximizes penetration within existing accounts. o Grows revenue over time. o Increase market awareness, both within existing markets and in markets outside of our currently served markets of mil/aero and medical device. o Provides a profile of our major competitors and outlines a strategy for countering each of these competitors. o Delineates a product roadmap for future product development activities, both new products and derivative products. o Support sales and the selling activities: . Work with marketing communications to develop a marketing/promotional strategy to support the business: o Web presence o New product introductions o Value added sales tools o Product campaigns that target strategic and key customers o Product / awareness campaigns aimed at target markets o White papers o What we can do to differentiate ourselves from our competitors . Be the focal point between the inside and outside for all sales and marketing activities . Coordinate activities of multiple departments to resolve a variety of product-related issues, such major scrap events, new product delays, specification discrepancies, etc. The successful candidate will possess: . Bachelor's Degree in Business or Engineering from an accredited four year college or equivalent work experience. . MBA Degree preferred. . 5+ years of relevant experience as a product manager or product marketer with a manufacturing company. . Demonstrated leadership in launching and managing new products. . Exceptional presentation skills, verbal and written communication skills are a must. . Professional written and verbal communication.
