Description(Purpose and Main Responsibilities)
* Role of the Improvement Coordinator = deploy Company's Excellence System, and drive the implementation of Production Control&Logistics (PC&L) tools and methodologies within the plant. Main missions are to: * support logistics supervisors in the implementation of PC&L tools ( receiving board, leveling board, TPA ) * ensure plant implementation of PC&L methods and tools ( see FES audit standard reference ) * provide plant with PC&L standards: Milk run, leveling ( LISA ), pull system ( leveling board ), receiving board, stock segmentation * define PC&L deployment objectives on a semi-annual basis and build up an action plan in cooperation with plant PC&L employees ( scheduler, material managers, logistics supervisor ) in accordance with PC&L manager * Achieve the action plan and ensure results. * Communicate Improvement initiatives: train and coach plant employees when necessary and carry out progress workshops in accordance with the plant PC&L manager. * Propose, in coordination with the Production System Efficiency coordinator, visual management systems in order to improve reactivity in case of problems. * Identify and implement best practices. * Ensure safety and quality standards are met throughout the plant * Participate in 5 S, implement 5S improvements * Participate in Hoshin and Continuous Improvement Events as assigned by management. Participate in and promote the goals of the Ideas Improvement Program * Stay informed of quality issues and opportunities as relates to position and or department * Stay informed of environmental aspects, follow procedures and work to eliminate or reduce the FMEA ratings as relates to position and or department * Complete all other duties and tasks as assigned by managementQualifications(Education, Experience, Skills and Competencies)
* Bachelor's degree * Experience in production in an industrial environment * Knowledge of quality matters * Excellent MS Excel skills * Experience with materials flow tools * Excellent communications skills
