Our Production Engineering team is looking for a results-oriented individual with effective technical and communication skills who can work well in a manufacturing environment to perform process control assignments in compliance with company procedures and contractual requirements. Assignment responsibilities include: ensuring proper process control for key processes within given process focus team and taking actions to strive for SIX SIGMA performance. Evaluate current manufacturing process, identifies and implements improvements. Prepare budgets for assigned projects and reports on technical and financial status and completes activities within budget and on schedule. Identify capital requirements, write appropriation requests, and fully integrate new equipment.
The Production Engineer also performs process and manufacturing documentation control support and is responsible for programming and providing floor support to automated processes in the Printed Circuit Board Assembly area. Responsible for ECR incorporation into travelers, manufacturing process documentation, plus provide Manufacturing Engineering inputs/support to Engineering Design reviews. Strong technical knowledge and experience with circuit card assembly surface mount assembly and soldering processes, equipment, and systems is desired.

Four or more years experience in a manufacturing environment
Experience with SMT Circuit Card Assembly Desired Skills: Technical knowledge of manufacturing processes and systems.
General knowledge of statistical methods and problem-solving skills.
General knowledge of economic analysis techniques to perform: cost "trade-off" studies, ROI, IRR, and Payback.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, under frequently changing priorities.
Technical knowledge and experience with circuit card assembly surface mount assembly and soldering processes, equipment, and systems.
Ability to obtain a security clearance. Clearance Level Required Secret Minimum Education Requirements BS/BA Degree or Equivalent Percent of Travel Required Less than 25% Work Status Full-Time
