Job Summary
Production Inspector I - located in our Rochester, Minnesota facility. Responsible for performing inspection operations at several phases of the process.
Essential Functions and Competencies *Will be able to read and understand process instructions, schematic drawings and manufacturing routings. *Will be able to work both independently and in a team setting. *Will demonstrate strong component recognition skills. *Will demonstrate accuracy and high attention to detail. *Will demonstrate regular, consistent attendance and ability to work overtime as needed.
Qualifications / Education / Experience *Prints Dispatch Lists and determines which product takes priority based on defined production guidelines. *Obtains the appropriate paperwork and necessary drawings for each job assignment and verifies the paperwork has the correct effective date. *Inspects boards per documented instructions at several stages in the process (IPI, PWI, PIR, Final and/or AOI Inspection). *Verifies placement, polarity and labels on circuit boards. *Uses Defect Code List to identify defects and routes boards to rework/repair facilities. *May perform minimal rework/repair duties as necessary (PIR, PWI areas). *May perform minimal hand solder operations on assemblies (PIR, PWI areas). *Scans completed assemblies into Process Feedback System (PFS). *Completes necessary routing tasks per procedure. *May use AOI machine to inspect printed circuit assemblies and follows related inspection procedures when Inspection Certification Checklist 2 is completed for AOI operations. *Enters board quantities into automated computer system (Report Operations Completed). *Uses manufacturing routings and process instructions under minimal supervision. *Performs record keeping and paperwork associated with job assignments. *Maintains a clean work area and follows all safety and ESD practices. *Performs labor entries in the labor tracking database.
