Production Manager-Manufacturing/Injection Molding
Major supplier located just outside of Dallas, TX has an immediate need for a Production Manager. The primary focus of this position is to supervise and direct the use of capital, equipment, material, and human resources within the production departments to achieve the highest quality, at the lowest cost, while maximizing customer satisfaction. Strong knowledge of injection molding processes and closure, or capping systems is highly preferred.
Responsibilities:
-> Improve department productivity and performance -> Work with the maintenance supervisor to develop a maintenance strategy -> Support the integration of the machinery division and manufacturing to drive equipment reliability improvements and lower costs -> Increase team interaction, communication, involvement, and contribution -> Work with the quality department to drive process improvement, development, and execution of quality control plan, and root cause analysis of quality issues -> Training, coaching, and counseling production and other supervisors -> Implementation and enforcement of the company's safety plan
Requirements:
-> B.S. degree in a technical or engineering field -> Graduate studies in management preferred -> 5+ years experience in manufacturing operations -> Injection molding experience -> Supervisory experience of at least 6 direct reports -> Ability to use various analytical techniques (ie. Constraint Management, Total Quality Management, Statistical Process Control, and quality tools) -> Working knowledge of process controls, and Toyota Manufacturing System concepts
