Production Manager
Magnum Magnetics seeks a highly motivated and organized Production Manager. The Production Manager will directly supervise site production employees. This position will set production
standards for the facility and provide overall direction and support for a manufacturing site. The Production Manager will also initiate and implement process improvement opportunities, provide technical support for manufacturing processes, and serve as a resource for cross-functional teams.
Examples of Work:
• Works with Director of Operations to establish annual site operating budget and site performance goals to meet Company objectives.
• Monitors site expenditures and budget and reports performance on monthly basis.
• Develops site metrics and tracks and communicates progress.
• Reviews and analyzes production, quality control, maintenance and operational reports to determine causes of non-conformity with product specifications.
• Develops corrective actions plans to address problems.
• Ensures coordination of production activities with other supporting processes, including purchasing, maintenance, quality control, and safety.
• Troubleshoots process and equipment problems and documents and communicates resolution to team members.
• Develops next generation of production leadership by providing challenging goals and effective feedback to capable team members.
• Establishes process improvement plan, detailing projects, savings, responsibilities, and time lines.
• Identifies operator training needs for equipment operation, production processes, and safe work behaviors.
• Evaluates workload and makes staffing recommendations to Director of Operations.
• Plans projects with Maintenance Manager to ensure equipment availability.
• Ensures completion of work orders in Smart Maintenance by production personnel.
• Ensures consistent application of Company policies.
• Audits facility for compliance with safety, housekeeping, and performance goals including policy deployment activities and documentation.
• Ensures all safety requirements are met by production team, including all required training.
• Facilitates weekly production planning meeting.
• Complies with all regulatory requirements (OSHA, EPA, etc.).
• Participates in process hazard analysis.
• Initiates, leads and participates in site Kaizen events.
• Investigates accidents and near misses with Safety Manager.
• Performs other duties assigned by management.

Minimum Qualifications:
Three years production management experience, preferably in a continuous improvement process environment. Bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering or equivalent experience required. Lean process improvement background and experience working with manufacturing processes related to magnetics, adhesives, and laminates is preferred.
