Job Title:  Production Operator - Full-time Opportunities Available


Hours:

Full-time Production Operators work 5 - 8 hour shifts/week (40 hours) on 3 production shifts (1st - 6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m., 2nd 2:30 p.m. - 11:00 p.m., 3rd 9:30 p.m. - 6:00 a.m.) Monday - Friday


Job Summary:

Production Operator will have some of the following responsibilities; loading and unloading machine(s), performing quality (hourly) part checks and housekeeping initiatives. Production Operator will perform operator daily & poke yoke check sheets. Production Operator will be responsible to make sure machine is ready to run prior to the start his/her shift and if it isn't, will notify their Supervisor or MT immediately. In addition, Production Operator will be responsible for storing raw material and WIP (work-in-process) parts in his/her area while adhering to plant floor material layout. PrOp will be responsible for part traceability using the LNDD system, which includes; applying bar code labels to applicable parts, scanning applicable parts and containers in his/her area. PrOp's must work together with other operators, maintenance, engineering & logistics for continuous production flow. PrOp will follow all EHS & housekeeping initiatives and report any non-conformances, unsafe conditions, or injuries (including First Aid & Near Misses) to Supervisor or Team Leader.

Production Operator will need to follow all Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) safety processes, commit daily to 100% quality and production attainment. In addition, this person will have to communicate to Maintenance or Process Engineering about any machine or assembly issues. This person must be willing to work on all other tasks to ensure an uninterrupted manufacturing process. Furthermore, this person must adhere to all housekeeping initiatives in his/her area and keep manufacturing facility in 'world class' condition.


Related Duties:

1.      Follow all EHS initiatives while in manufacturing facility.

2.      Adhere to all applicable EHS processes while performing job duties in manufacturing facility.

3.      Load and unload material as necessary to run machine

4.      Load all raw materials and WIP for operation and store in proper place in plant - see plant floor layout.

5.      Prepare production operation for daily start up.

6.      Perform all necessary pre-start tasks necessary to run daily production. Tasks may include: operator & poke yoke daily check sheets, visual inspection of oil levels, air pressure checks and tooling.

7.      Communication to Supervisor or Process Engineer regarding performance objectives.

8.      Report all safety, maintenance, engineering, quality and logistic issues to Supervisor or Process Engineer immediately.

9.      Adhere to all housekeeping initiatives in plant.

10. Clean production operation & work area daily/weekly and support world class environment

11. Perform all quality part checks as required per Control Plan.

12. Actively perform hourly part checks and report non-conformities to Supervisor or shift quality representative immediately.

13. All other production related tasks as instructed by the supervisor

14. Become a member of a very dynamic team orientated world class operation

15. Actively learn all Honda / MDX operations and any other processes (ISE / GM) deemed necessary by Supervisor or PE

16. Cross train on all other Production Operator processes in plant (if necessary)



Requirements:

Required Skills & Education:

 

1.      Must have either High School Diploma or GED

2.      Must have valid drivers license

3.      Must have 1-3 years experience in a Manufacturing environment

4.      Must be willing to work any shift and overtime may be required


Physical Requirements:


1. Must be able to pass background check, drug screen, and physical.

2. Must be able to lift - maximum of 25 pounds at least 300 times per day

3. Must be flexible and able to lift, pull, push and rotate during normal working conditions

1.      Pay: $12.00

2.      Business Type: Automotive Production

3.      Hours: 1st, 2nd or 3rd shift Monday through Friday, must be flexible for any shift
