The successful candidate will be responsible for will be focusing on production planning and scheduling of 4-5 distinct product lines and their various SKUs. This individual must co-ordinate and leverage internal plant stakeholders (production, process engineering, maintenance, warehouse) and external stake holders (customer service, supply chain, sales) to ensure there is a balance between meeting customer needs and ensuring efficient production with minimal inventory and SMOI. This is achieved through such strategies as attendance of daily production huddles, leadership of the weekly planning call as well as the ongoing interaction with Customer Service and Plant leadership to ensure alignment. The warehouse duties may include providing strategic leadership and direction to the shipping and receiving personnel, monitor and drive improvement as identified. Manage and set direction for the warehouse team, ensure huddles meet business needs and ensure metrics and in place, communicated and leveraged to drive improved business results. Quality and Continuous Improvement - this individual is responsible to seek out methods to improve processes and results with a view to improved customer satisfaction through more timely, efficient and accurate product delivery. Actions to achieve this outcome include but are not limited to driving disposition of DMR's and MRN's from process engineering to disposition, finished goods by keeping them in the forefront, tracking all inventory in rework or return on a monthly basis, matching to outstanding processes and communicate to the appropriate personnel. Experience: 2-3 years experience working in a position that focused on Production Planning, Materials Management logistics and Supply Chain is necessary. Previous leadership experience in a fast paced manufacturing environment beneficial. Post Secondary education in Logistics, Warehousing, Supply Chain or the equivalent. Knowledge and Abilities: Must have solid work experience using SAP based systems. Possess the ability and comfort level of learning other computer systems. Previous experience managing various product platforms and SKUs to schedule consistent with meeting customer needs while ensuring production optimization. Solid understanding of logistics, supply chain, warehousing and all related elements Attributes: Strong leadership. Capable of defining and executing strategic planning focused on customer satisfaction and enhanced performance. Ability to leverage unionized staff to align to deliver ever improving business results with a customer focus. Ability to develop strong relationships with al stakeholders. Continuous improvement mindset.
