Production Planner
Basic Function :
Plans, prepares, issues, and controls production schedules and material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials timed to meet production requirements. Key Responsibilities:
Essential job duties include, but are not limited to: · Schedules and expedites the movement of parts to meet customer ship dates · Analyzes inventory usage and identifies potential problems and causes that effect inventory level objectives · Recommends changes to improve product or process efficiency and/or reduce cost using continuous improvement principles · Implement Engineering change control as it relates to the planning function · Implement Quality control process as it relates to planning function. Requirements:
BS in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related field with 5 years of production planning experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience with pull systems, process mapping, Engineering make-to-order environment, JIT and related continuous improvement principles. Strong computer and communication skills. Work requires high attention to detail. Ability to sit, walk, and stand for prolonged periods. Ability to foster and maintain high levels of employee involvement.
