THIS IS A FULL TIME, DIRECT HIRE POSITION
Our client, a leading manufacturer of machined components in NE Ohio is seeking to add a Production Planner to their staff.
Responsibilities
Runs MRP Daily and applies job knowledge to accurately assign ship dates to new orders based on material/machine/hours availability.
Develops the Schedule which directs the activities of the short-term scheduler. The time frame for the Schedule encompasses everything but the current day’s schedule.
Adjusts work order start dates due to material availability or capacity constraints in order to fulfill customer requirements.
Adjusts work order start dates and/or quantities required in order to utilize resources effectively and efficiently.
Utilizes MRP system to input and retrieve data and to make sound decisions.
Interfaces with manufacturing personnel, sales, and receiving on material status and production planning issues.
Prepares documentation and makes shipment for FedEx/UPS on an as needed basis.
Participates and is committed to the Quality Management System; strives to continually improve the effectiveness of our processes and other quality objectives.
Completes required quality classes and uses skills and techniques presented.
