Production Planner
POSITION SUMMARY:
Production Planner is responsible for planning and scheduling production demands.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Draws up master schedule to establish sequence of line events and lead time needs, in order to meet forecasted sales.
Ensures efficient operation of the customers system(s) and related equipment.
Ensures effective internal communications both within the site team and across the organization.
Adheres to policy and on-time strategic planning.
Supports Jacobson’s environmental goals and initiatives.
MAJOR DUTIES:
Coordinates raw material needs internally and externally, with the client.
Determines and communicates internally labor needs, based on forecast.
Sequences fragrance lines based on supply and demand.
Monitors manufacturing progress.
Reports potential risk to management.
Prepare and publish reports as directed by the management team.
Performs other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
High School education or equivalent, plus 6-12 months experience working in a manufacturing and/or warehousing environment.
Excellent customer service skills.
Excellent organizational, administrative and planning skills.
Effective written and oral communication with all internal and external contacts.
Strong analytical and math skills
Efficient with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel.
Experience of automated Warehouse Management Systems.
Ability to research issues that arise and see them through to resolution.
Ability to prioritize, multi-task and resolve discrepancies.
