Responsibilities/Description:
The Prodcution Planner operates with a high level of expertise to plan, schedule, and coordinate the production planning process for aftermarket part sales orders, to ensure that client orders are accomplished within the prescribed time frame parameters. The value of parts orders planned by this function routinely exceeds $12 million annually.
Qualifications:
Required:
*
US Citizenship
*
A minimum of anAssociates Degree (A.A.S.) with 1 or more years related experience
*
Equivalent combination of education and experience in Production and Inventory Control, Project Execution, and Product and/or Package Drafting will be considered
*
Experience with a Business Operating System for a make-to-order environment
*
Must possess strong organizational and creative-thinking skills
*
Ability to prioritize workloads for maximum efficiency
*
Ability to adapt to constant changes in departmental resources, applications and requirements
*
Posses excellent communication skills
*
Interacts effectively with all levels of personnel
Preferred:
*
Thorough knowledge of activity reporting and inventory management systems
*
Proficiency with MicroSoft Word, Excel, and Outlook - Microsoft Project is a plus
*
Possess stong leadership skills
*
Oracle operating system experience
Job Specific Responsibilities/Qualifications:
*
Prepare production plans, schedules to meet on-time client deliveries for aftermarket PSO's (Part Sales Order).
*
Monitor PSO progress, internal/external to the plant, communicating changes to plan to PSO Inside Sales.
*
Expedite machine shop and supply chain, as required, to maintain aftermarket PSO planned delivery dates.
*
Interact with load center planners, shop supervison, and supply chain management to align resources to plan in order to meet customer commit dates.
*
Coordinate and facilitate meetings to resolve problems and conflicts pertaining to production plans, schedules.
*
Assist Master Planner to drive continuous improvement with: on-time PSO delivery performance, daily small parts shipment targets, and order backlog reduction initiatives.
