Job Description:
This position reports to the Production Manager and provides leadership in operations with regards to food processing and production. This position would require a candidate to potentially relocate to a Kerry site where there is an open opportunity located. The candidate would engage in a training program with a mentor and learn the Production and Manufacturing processes of Kerry. Location for 18 months then potentially relocate to another location based on business needs.
Job Functions: . Coach, motivate, train and effectively manage the performance of production staff; Ability to create and present information on various training topics, line stats, and production data to employees/managers/buyers; . Coordinate with engineering, maintenance or others as appropriate to solve production-related problems; . Ensure adherence to proper safety and sanitation regulations and policies/procedures; . Actively identify and initiate process improvements to positively impact financial viability, service and product quality and customer satisfaction of the facility. . Develops, recommends, and implements measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product. . Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew.
Qualifications: . Bachelor's degree in Food Science, chemical engineering, business mgmt, Ops mgmt, BBA, Supply Chain or related field and internship experience is a plus . Highly effective leadership and coaching skills, with a proven track record of success in motivating others; . A dynamic personality style with the ability and willingness to promote appropriate change and improvement; . Ability and willingness to grow and develop beyond the current position; . Excellent verbal and written communication skills; . Strong interpersonal skills, ability to build relationships at all levels and maintain a positive working environment; . Solid computer, planning and problem-solving skills are a must; . Ability to work any shift and weekends as scheduled . Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business documents, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations. . Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. . Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, plant employees, customers and the general public. . Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. . Ability to interpret and extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. . Logical decision making skills.
