Posted Position Title Production Supervisor Career Level Experienced Function Manufacturing Function Segment Shop Operations Location United States U.S. State, China or Canada Provinces Texas Relocation Assistance Yes Role Summary/Purpose The Production Supervisor will be responsible for frontline and/or shift management and defined work or projects with moderate complexity. In this role, you will follow an individual work plan, meet day-to-day objectives, and resolve issues through immediate action and both short and long-term planning. Essential Responsibilities * Provide manufacturing / technical assistance and leadership to assigned work group
* Utilize Six Sigma and productivity tools to improve process variation
* Manage technicians and production schedule requirements to include overtime, time off and discipline
* Interface with internal and external customers, define priorities for shift and work group leveraging production, shift change and "tool-box" meetings
* Actively participate in Environment, Health and Safety initiatives
* Actively participate on cross-functional teams and demonstrate necessary leadership and coaching skills to other team members
* Develop and execute stable manufacturing operations for work areas
* Support and meet production schedules, drive productivity and quality initiatives, and manage the area within budget guidelines and controls Qualifications/Requirements * Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college OR a High School Diploma / GED with at least 4 years of professional work experience Additional Eligibility Qualifications GE will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States for this opening. Desired Characteristics * Previous experience in manufacturing, quality, sourcing or operations, management experience a plus
