This opportunity is at our Fairport NY location which designs and fabricates precision injection molded plastic products, specializing in unique, first ever applications molded from high-end engineering grade resins. We currently have three openings for Team Coordinators one on 1stshift, one on 2ndshift, and one on 3rdshift.
Position Summary: Advocate and support the Corporate WIN Strategy by managing and improving the quality, cost, delivery, morale and safety of the production area.
Essential Functions: · Coach production teams, providing leadership, instruction, training and motivation where needed. Must maintain proper training documentation for the shift · Ensure new employees are getting appropriate training and guidance from the teams to help them become fully qualified and continuously improve · Conduct daily shift audits · Assign, organize, and communicate expectations and workload for each Operator according to the issued schedule · Ensure that all employees know, understand, and follow all necessary safety rules and safe operating procedures · Track production results vs. expectations and take corrective action on results · Lean Manufacturing / Scrap Reduction Efforts and 5S of Manufacturing Shop Area · Administer Vacation planning and scheduling in order to respond to workflow changes · Work closely with supervisor on performance management of operators · Work overtime as needed to meet customer demand · Other duties as required Job Requirements :
· Must possess High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED). Associates degree preferred · At least 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment · Well organized · Able to work independently, with minimal supervision · Must be team-oriented, goal-driven, and highly motivated · Working knowledge of Lotus Notes, Microsoft Word and Excel · Good communication skills and the ability to read and understand work instructions required · Ability to communicate and execute management directives · Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships · Demonstrated ability to motivate and lead teams is required · Previous supervisory or group leader experience preferred We are an equal opportunity employer M/F/D/V
