Project Engineer-Project/Bearings/Rotating Machinery
|
Client, leading-edge manufacturer of special gear units for special-purpose vehicles, industrial facilities and ships as well as components for propulsion technology and test systems, is currently seeking a Project Engineer for their facility in the Spartanburg, SC area.
Responsibilities:
-> The primary scope of this position is to coordinate the technical aspects of projects, including research, costing, development work, problem solving, model designing, and coordinating same with the production department
-> Adapt, alter, or improve existing models when necessary and advise management of engineering problems or concerns
-> Review customer design requests for accuracy and provide input, suggestions or changes when advisable
Requirements:
-> Rotating machinery experience (electric motor generator type industries)
-> At least 5 years experience working with Fluid Film Bearings and Babbitt Bearings
-> Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering is required
