We are seeking a highly motivated professional Project Manager for Extruded Products to join the growing team at our Plymouth, MN location. This position will be responsible for furthering the North American Buhler market for extruded products.
Basic Responsibilities:
- Responsible for projects from design to installation, start-up and hand-over of equipment, plants and processes.
- Responsible for customer and inter-company communication.
- Budget and project time line.
- Develops 3 direct reports.
- Coordinates and executes basic- and detail engineering from assemblies through detail parts, bill of material, detail flow sheets for aspiration, compressed air, etc.
- Coordinates project related works with manufacturing, automation, installation and start up team.
- Provides engineering to sales group including ACAD work and drawings for proposals.
- Coordinates SAP work including item creation, and release of manufactured equipment, purchase requisitions and SAP releases for Buhler equipment and 3rd party equipment.
- Provides quality control expertise to manufacturing.
- Coordinates the local manufacturing with workshop.
- Travel within U.S., Canada, Mexico and Caribbean (approx. 30%), occasional travel to Europe.
- Must be able to travel to Switzerland for up to 6 months for initial training.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of industry and technical knowledge in extrusion and/or food
- Background in capital equipment manufacturing
- Ability to lead cross functional teams and work independently
- Entrepreneurial spirit
- Persistent self-starter
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience with AutoCAD and SAP desirable
- Solid software skills, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel
- BS in Mechanical Engineering
