Are you a purchasing manager that has experience in a high volume manufacturing environment that sourced from Asia? Our client has an opening for a Production Planner/Scheduler within their Components group.
This position will be stationed at their headquarters in Raleigh/Durham, NC. Summary: This individual is responsible for production control and scheduling . This individual must be very detail oriented and will work closely with other members of the planning, production control, engineering, marketing, and finance teams. This individual will also interact with the planning and operations teams in other business units.
Responsibilities: * Compile daily a business snapshot of open orders, FGI and WIP for three locations * Maintaining order acknowledgments * Create daily production schedules for four locations. * Create daily shipment lists for four locations from an analysis of open orders and available inventory * Compiling and maintaining weekly and monthly performance-to-plan metrics * Respond to daily Customer Service request for schedule changes and returns * Support the implementation and continuous improvement of planning systems and models * Facilitate communication globally with other internal business units * Other responsibilities as assigned Minimum Requirements: * Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, supply chain management, or other related field * Strong analytical skills and attention to detail * Excellent interpersonal and communication skills * Self-starter with strong personal work ethic; must have a "whatever it takes" attitude * Ability to support a 24x7, global manufacturing environment * 3-5 years of experience in production planning, production control, or operations management * Experience with databases and data analysis tools (Oracle, MES, i2, Excel ,SQL, Access, JMP, VBA, etc) Preferred Qualifications: * Experience in semiconductor manufacturing * Mandarin speaking is a plus * Sourcing from Asia *
