Purchasing Specialist – 11192 FSD
Position Summary
FSD Naples, Florida is looking for a highly skilled Purchasing Specialist to work with the team of skilled Buyers, Planners, and Contract Administrators in the Aerospace industry. Duties will include, but not be limited to: Obtains the best quality, service, and value for products and services through effective bidding, negotiation, and supplier management. Identifies manufacturing needs, identifies and selects suppliers, negotiates contracts, and arranges delivery. Purchases critical, complex and/or high dollar parts, equipment, services, and materials.
Responsibilities
* Identifies and recommends suppliers by investigating potential suppliers, researching parts, equipment, machinery, services and materials availability. * Purchases parts, equipment, and materials by preparing request for quotations an submitting purchase orders with approved supplies. * Issues purchase orders and agreements that accurately reflect price, schedule, terms and conditions as negotiated with suppliers. Maintains accurate lead times for assigned commodities. * Evaluates bids for standard and non-standard items. Selects suppliers for a variety of moderately complex of technical materials, supplies or services and negotiates price, delivery, quality and service. * Monitors and evaluates supplier performance. Advises appropriate personnel of impending supplier failure to fulfill contractual agreements that may delay production or delivery.
Job Requirements :
* Bachelor’s degree (BA) in Business Administration, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience which has provided both theoretical and practical knowledge in the field. * Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of the job typically acquired through six or more years of increasingly responsible related experience. Certificate in Purchasing. * Management (CPM) or APICS desired. * Knowledge of purchasing and negotiating methods, principles and concepts. Knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements related to procurement. * Certificate in Purchasing Management (CPIM) or APICS. * Proficient in standard business application software and specialized in purchasing and/or materials systems / MRP. * Ability to work on a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity where analysis of the situation or data requires thorough identification of factors and analysis of impact.
