Work Location: S&IS (Deicing) - Union, WV
Job Description Summary: Job duties will include: Measure products to verify dimensional conformance to drawings and specifications, using rulers, calipers, gauges, or micrometers.
Test products to verify electrical conformance to drawings and specifications, using ohmmeters, multimeters or dielectric/insulation resistance test equipment.
Visually inspect products to verify conformance to drawings and specifications.
Disposition products as accept/reject based on their conformance to drawings and specifications.
Record inspection or test data, such as weights, dimensions, resistance, and quantities inspected, accepted, and rejected.
Mark products with acceptance or rejection status. Observe and monitor production materials and equipment to verify calibration status and shelf life.
Notify supervisors and other personnel of production problems, and assist in identifying and correcting these problems.
Must be willing to work 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm.
Basic Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required.
Prefer 1-3 years of previous manufacturing experience. Ability to interpret blueprints, data, manuals, drawings, templates and other materials to determine specifications, inspection and testing procedures, adjustment and certification methods, and measuring instruments required.
Must have the ability to comprehend and comply with ESD, EHS, and workplace policies and procedures. Will be required to have computer skills to navigate and enter data as well as use microsoft products.
This position is considered "regulated" under the Department of Transportation and applicant must agree to pre-employment drug screening to detect the following substances: Marijuana, Cocaine, Opiates, Phencyclidine (PCP), and Amphetamines
The successful candidate will have to meet the following workkeys scores: applied math - 4, locating information - 5, reading for information - 5, and observation -3.
