Premier Government Defense Contractor is actively searching for QA Inspectors for their Charlottesville, VA, area operation. QA Inspectors are needed in two primary areas: 1) Incoming QA Inspectors for Printed Circuit Boards (PC Boards) and other purchased materials 2) QA Inspectors for shipped, inventoried and kitted materials.
Responsibilities:
-> QA Incoming Inspectors will perform inspections of purchased product material, primarily Printed Circuit Boards (PC Boards), to ensure compliance to engineering drawings and specifications
-> QA Inspectors will perform inspections of material in inventory, kitted for assembly and packaged for shipment to ensure compliance to engineering drawings and specifications
-> *** Both positions will have these additional responsibilities ***
-> Records status into Quality record system
-> Assists in performing in-process inspections and records status in the Quality system records system
-> Collect and record product data as required by the Quality team
-> Conducts internal audits as assigned by Quality Assurance Manager
-> Become a certified internal auditor
-> Become a certified inspector
Requirements:
-> QA Incoming Inspector position must have previous printed circuit board (PC Board) inspection experience and have an understanding of IPC-610 and J-STD-001 standards
-> *** Both positions have these additional requirements ***
-> This is government contract work which requires candidates to be a U.S. citizen (without dual citizenship) and have the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Secret Clearance
-> High school diploma or equivalence required
-> Trained to read engineering drawings and interpret tolerance specifications
-> Good handwriting, eyesight, and color perception
-> Strong mathematical and analytical skills
-> Ability to work well within the production area
-> Experience in a Defense Industry manufacturing environment is a plus
