QC Inspector

Position Overview:
In this hands-on role, you will inspects products manufactured or processed to ensure compliance with contract specifications and conformance to specifications such as dimensions, tolerances, and hardness by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Examines company's records to secure such information as size and weight of product and results of quality tests.
· Inspects product to determine compliance with order specifications, company's quality control system for compliance with legal requirements, and shipping and packing facilities for conformity to specified standards.
· Stamps mark of approval or rejection on product and writes report of examinations.
· Computes angles, radii, and other unspecified dimensions of workpiece.
· Measures angular dimensions, radii, contours, clearances, thread lead, and other specifications.
· Tests parts for hardness.
· Inspects, adjusts, and verifies accuracy of gauges and measuring instruments for conformance to specifications.
· Examines defective parts to determine cause of defect and recommends changes or modifications.
· Measures surface finish of part.
· Inspects first run parts and assemblies.
· Writes report regarding inspection and testing results.
· Inspects parts for flaws or internal fissures with ultrasonic equipment or fluorescent lights.
· Prepares labor card(s), job ticket(s), and other reports, forms, records and related paperwork for assigned area.
· Ensures that product output meets established quality policy.
· Ensures established productivity standards are obtained.
· Interacts with other employees in a polite, courteous and productive manner.
· Responsible for adhering to established “Work Rules.”
· Responsible for maintaining a neat, clean and orderly work area.
· Responsible for observing all Good Manufacturing Practices and safety practices ensuring all machine guards and other safety equipment or devices are in place and in good working order before and during operation.
· Insure all personal protection equipment is monitored and used at all times.
· Any other duties of a similar or lesser nature as required.

Requirements

Qualifications:
· High School graduate and 1-3 years related experience and/or training
· Basic computer skills and knowledge of Word Processing, design, manufacturing and database
software
· Great attitude, willingness to learn and a great on time/attendance record
· Proper grammatical skills, must be able to articulate for communicating and recording data
