Premier Government Defense Contractor is actively searching for QA Assurance Engineers for their Charlottesville, VA, area operation.
Responsibilities:
-> Help to create and streamline the Quality Assurance function and become involved in as many functions in the software development lifecycle as possible -> Develop automated regression and performance test suites -> Develop and execute test plans, tracking and reporting testing coverage -> Assist with release post-mortem and analyzing root cause information to improve testing effectiveness -> Summarize and publish defect trends to improve visibility -> Generate and maintain QA traceability metrics and charts -> Review functional requirements, design documents, and defect descriptions for timeliness, completeness, and accuracy -> Assist in analyzing and developing automated tests to replicate real-world scenarios -> Maintain and improve test plan and test case framework and templates
Requirements:
-> 2+ years direct experience in functional, system, and/or integration testing of embedded systems and safety within a mission-critical environment -> Bachelor?s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering -> Demonstrated experience in executing test methodologies and documenting results -> Demonstrates the diplomatic skills needed to promote improvements in company-wide Quality Assurance processes -> Excellent technical skills, including software development life cycle methodology knowledge and application -> This is government contract work which requires candidates to be a U.S. citizen (without dual citizenship) and have the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Secret Clearance -> Experience working with military programs is a plus -> Experience working in CMMi Level 3/4/5 environments a plus
