Quality Assurance Engineer-Manufacturing/Production/Automotive
Excellent QUALITY ENGINEER opportunities in central Mississippi. Requires Manufacturing experience and a four year degree, Automotive industry a plus. Includes relocation for the right candidate.
Responsibilities:
-> Monitor quality of parts projects, make process improvements and evaluate corrective actions
-> Address quality issues and notify manufacturing departments of quality alerts
-> Interface with supplier/vendor regarding nonconforming material/product
-> Evaluate and track customer returns/rejects and develop and implement process controls to reduce rejects
-> Prepare documentation associated with project launch and develop quality targets
-> Coordinate training associated with the launch of a new project
-> Travel to customer location for product quality function
-> Attend tool trials and perform internal joint checks to identify parts development/quality issues
-> Coordinate functional trials and Part Submission approvals for initial part approval and design changes to current production components
-> Document issues on Product Development Record throughout development cycle
-> Recommend design changes to correct Fit and Finish issues
-> Interface with internal engineering and production team and customers relative to quality issues
Requirements:
-> BS or BA Degree, A PLUS to have degree in a relevant technical fields, Masters Degree may reduced the experience requirement
-> Minimum 5 years QA experience in a manufacturing environment, A PLUS to have automotive manufacturing experience
-> A PLUS to have CQE or CQA certification or other relevant certification
-> Need good mathematics, statistics, and problem solving skills
-> Working knowledge of computer software such as Word, Excel, Lotus Notes, PowerPoint, and other presentation applications
-> Good interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills and collaborative work style
