Territory (if applicable): Supply Chain Business Unit: Supply Chain includes facilities and processes that operate to manufacture a finished product from raw material and deliver to the end-user. This business unit enhances competitive advantage, efficiency, innovation, quality and consistency. Position Purpose: This position will set up and manage the enterprise wide packaging quality & product safety program. The position will be responsible for assessing risk, visiting vendors and assigning an approval rating to all packaging suppliers. The position will also be responsible for working with plants and sourcing to resolve packaging quality or safety related issues. They will also work with R&D and sourcing to get new vendors approved. Enterprise wide first point of contact for regulatory, product safety or quality issues in the packaging area. The face of packaging quality to our internal sourcing group, R&D, manufacturing and supply chain organizations as well as external packaging suppliers. Required (Basic) Experience & Education: 10 -15 years of progressive Quality or R&D Experience, Degree in Food or Packaging Science. Required Competencies & Other Skills: Technical Expertise, Impact & Influence Skills, Communication & Interpersonal Skills, Positioning for the Future, Customer Focus, Results Orientation, Planning & Organizing, Decision Making / Problem Solving, Self Management, Business Acumen, Ethical Role Model.
