Primary Function: Responsible for insuring all product meets internal and external quality requirements.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
- Analyzes and solves quality problems - Develop inspection plans and instructions - Selects sampling plan applications - Prepare techniques - Train inspectors - Performs audits - Analyzes quality costs and other quality data - Applies fundamental statistical methods for process control - Maintain '5s' practices within department. - Maintain part trace ability. - Understand and follow departmental procedures. - Other duties as assigned. Required Experience
Minimum Job Requirements:
- Ability to work in a production environment. - Apply quality concepts, tools and quality processes (six sigma, cost of quality , etc) - Interpret information and data - Apply team concepts both as a member and leader - Define statistical techniques, including basic elements of design of experiments (DOE) and reliability - Determine what data to collect for a specific technique, how to apply it to various statistical methods, and how to analyze the results - Know which measurement and test equipment (M&TE) tools are appropriate for various tasks - Assesses tool accuracy and precision - Understand the concept of standards traceability for M&TE. - Understand and apply basic inspection and testing techniques (sampling plans, etc.) - Able to read and interpret blueprints, including geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) - Understand and apply various quality audit types and their components, tools, and techniques - Understand and apply the elements of corrective and preventive actions (root cause analysis, failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA), and the control of nonconforming material) - High School Diploma or GED. - Willing to continuously learn. - Record of good attendance. - Willing to work overtime. - Good organizational skills. - Good verbal and written communication skills. - Positive attitude. - Safety conscious. - Computer skills. (Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet, etc.)
