Quality Control Manager/Clarksville
Responsible for the Quality Control systems and procedures to ensure the goals of continuous production, quality product and customer specifications are achieved. The Quality Control Technician will ensure high quality work within the manufacturing process through the development, administration, implementation, documentation and training of Quality Control systems and procedures
Requirements:
Review standard operating procedures or quality assurance procedures as outlined in manuals vs. what is actual.
Develop and implement methods for measuring and improving processes.
Develop and initiate standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation, as required.
Ensure orders meet customer needs and expectations; reject orders that do not fulfill customer needs and expectations.
Verify new parts or material to print, or rev. change of print, by using various measuring devices needed to do precise measuring. Document pass or fail findings and work with Ops/Engineering to correct problem (print issues, tolerance, part issues).
Conduct internal quality inspections on a regular basis as may be required by the manufacturing process or specified by customer.
Ensures that all required process operations have been performed on the product that is being inspected.
Analyze facts or circumstances surrounding quality control test results and procedures; investigate to determine root cause of faulty work; work with Supervisors and Production Employees as to corrective measures and preventive actions for improvement.
Recommend and implement changes in work procedures, work conditions and equipment to increase efficiency and safety.
Document information regarding nonconformance of products, processes including project-specific quality control, daily production quality, root cause analyses, or quality trends.
Segregate Non-Conforming Material from usable material and provide causes and concerns to Operations and Engineering management..
Develops and implements methods and procedures for disposition of discrepant material and devises methods to assess cost and responsibility.
Responsible for internal/external Corrective Action Reporting by investigating and determining corrective action procedures to prevent repetitive failures of product or parts. Communicate with customers, suppliers and internal personnel regarding corrective actions.
Maintain test equipment calibration and calibration records.
Maintain quality information to generate Quality Manual and reports. Update Quality Manual as processes and procedures changes. These may include but are not limited to: Nonconforming Material, Returned Goods analysis, Engineering Change Notices, Vendor Quality, Audits and Department Reports.
Assist in the development and maintenance of the ISO 9001 procedures and work instructions to obtain and retain ISO 9001 Certification. Set forth recommendations to improve existing processes and to enforce ISO 9001standards. Comply with supplier and customer survey ISO requirements.
Promote good human relations skills with responsibility for directing, training, analyzing and achieving operating efficiencies.
Train employees on existing or new quality control procedures. Coach, motivate and assist employees in utilizing proper techniques to achieve quality work goals. Provide feedback to management on training and progress of employees.
