Quality Control Supervisor - 3rd Shift
Principal Accountabilities * Supervise Quality Control personnel (Inspectors and Technicians) and test equipment to meet production schedules and shipment schedules. * Assure the quality of all catalytic converters produced satisfies customer requirements. * Train and motivate subordinates in order to maintain efficiency and effective quality control of the manufacturing process. * Establish goals and objectives for technician positions. * Organize and coordinate testing of sample group testing on a daily basis. * Execute special assignments. * Coordinate inventories. * Initiate, revise and maintain quality documentation, procedures, manuals and specifications. * Implement and coordinate quality development and improvements. * Implement changes to improve health and safety. * Supervises and sets objectives for shift staff with regard to QC activities. Assigns, monitors, and reviews work progress and accuracy. Performs QC Technician duties as necessary. * Provides input into subordinates performance reviews, and conducts performance reviews in a timely manner. * Ensures test procedures and operations are compliant with the requirements of the TS standard. * Manage costs to ensure effective resource use. * Comply with all environmental & health and safety federal, state, local regulations and company policies.
Requirements:
Knowledge, Skills, and Educational Requirements * BS in Chemistry with 3-5 years or Associates Degree with 7 years experience. * Must have prior experience working in a lab environment. * Supervisory or leadership role a plus. * Knowledgeable in the areas of chemical analysis, quality systems and manufacturing processes. * Excellent written and communications skills. * Self-motivated and able to demonstrate the ability to work on an independent basis. * Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (ie: Excel, Word, Powerpoint).
