Position Overview

The main purpose of this job is to contribute to the development of, and the maintenance of the fundamental quality systems. These systems shall ensure that the manufactured product meets the "Shaw Quality Specifications". The system will provide for continuous improvement, emphasizing defect prevention and the reduction of variation and waste in manufacturing and the supply chain. The "Shaw Quality Specifications" document is a customer driven set of expectations and needs, to be refined on a continuous basis, to meet the changing needs and requirements of our customers.

Responsibilities

Monitor and analyze non-conformance and process control data.
Monitor incoming material.
Analyze manufactured product quality by performing tests.
Monitor and evaluate process control charts on finishing line.
Prepare stain, color match and ensure color control.
Maintain lab and equipment calibration.
Requirements

Previous Quality Control experience preferred.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with co-workers
Ability to write detailed and complex analysis reprots and correspondence.
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability, statistical inference, and funamentals of geometry and trigonometry.
Self-motivated
Ability to interpret instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Must have strong analytical problem solving skills.
Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Must frequently lift 50lbs and occassionally up to 80lbs.
