A respected company in West Phoenix is looking for a Quality Control Inspector with 7-10 years experience with sheet metal fabrication. Core Goals - Aid in the development and implementation of a material receiving inspection process- Develop and integrate standardized inspection process- Perform inspections on outbound shipments to assure quality products shipped to customers- Investigate the root cause of internal and external non-conforming inventory- Initiate and coordinate corrective and preventative actions for customer complaint- Conduct internal audits to provide quality checks and report findings to production supervisor- Coordinate corrective action and its effectiveness of outside processing vendors and external suppliers- Provide timely communication of quality issues, corrective action items, and resolution progress- Responsible for the continuous improvement of the position and departmentDay to day Responsibilities- Receiving/Shipping Inspection- Responsible for the inspection of materials, parts, processes and final products, and documentation of the results. - Review quality assurance paperwork accompanying work orders for appropriateness and completeness. - Perform the preliminary, in-process and final inspection of all work orders. - Prepare and file all required quality documentation and record for inspection area. - Performs other duties, consistent with the position, as required or assignedQualifications- Prior quality inspection experience in a sheet metal fabrication, aluminum extrusion, or manufacturing shop - Ability to use wide range of measurement instruments: measuring tape, calipers, micrometer, hardness tester, and finish testing equipment- Ability to read and comprehend basic blue prints, shop drawings, and equipment schematics- Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook Category: Quality Control & Assurance - General
