Position Summary: To ensure compliance of the documented quality system to specified requirements (internal and external), promote and facilitate continuous improvement, and provide general support to the facility for interpretation and application of internal and external quality program standards. Scope/Supervision and Interaction: Position is self-directed (minimum supervision), and interacts with all management and production employees to maintain and improve the overall effectiveness of the quality program. Essential Functions: Evaluate and report on the effectiveness of quality systems: - Schedule and perform internal audits of the quality system as related to ducumented procedures, work instructions, and the ISO 9001 International Standard. - Effectively report audit activities and results, and perform comprehensive follow up of corrective action requests. - Report to Management Review the status of quality systems indicators such as cost of quality, warranty expense, scrap/standard hour cost, TQM survey results, etc. Facilitate Management Review meetings; record and distribute meeting minutes. Act as facility representative to third party auditors. Manage the Customer Complaint and other corrective/preventive action programs. Assist resolution teams with corrective/preventive actions. Maintenance, control, update, and distribution of quality system documentation. Provide support and guidance to facility personnel in the interpretation of, and compliance to the ISO 9001 International Standard. (01/01/2000) Job Requirements :
Qualifications:High school diploma/GED. RAB or ASQ auditor certification preferred. Excellent communication skills Good project management and decision-making skills. Familiarity with the ISO 9001 International Standard and quality systems structuring required. Auditing experience preferred. Offer Relocation :No Other Skills :-Responsible for ISO 9000 preparation and ongoing actions to ensure compliance to the standard.
-Develop, implement, and sustain layered process audit program for Production workcells.
-Manage ongoing CAR database to ensure compliance, timeliness, and robust responses.
-Lead Manufacturing Value Stream support to respond to Quality issues (yield, scrap, component, non-conformance).
-Mentor and trainer for Quality Inspectors to ensure measurement consistency and development of QA team.
-Lead team to ensure conformance to Parker Calibration standards, including in-house calibration and coordinating external calibration providers.
-Develop QIP inspection criteria to establish critical dimensions and measurement methods for new components.
-Skills: High compentency in reading / interpreting prints / drawings, and the use of gauges, calipers, micrometers. Experience with advanced metrology equipment, Formscan, CMM etc required. 5 plus years of ISO 9000 experience in an industrial, manufacturing environment preferred. Knowledge of and experience with hydraulics is a plus.
