What You'll Do:

At John Deere Power Systems in Waterloo, IA as aQuality Engineer - Audit Supervisor you will supervise a team of skilled wage technicians to ensure that quality equipment is being produced. In this position you will have the opportunity to:
* Schedule engine audits and emission testing at Engine factory and outside testing facilities.
* Perform weekly audits of engines and present findings to Engine factory.
* Be responsible for audit test cell operation and staffing.
* Maintain engine audit database.
* Schedule engine repair activities.
* Support Continuous Improvement Engineering process with special projects and tests.
* Support production during stop ship activities.
* Provide continuous feedback with suggested resolution to assembly line on issues found during audit teardowns and heavy repair.


We need an excellent communicator who thrives on solving complex problems and working in a team environment. Ideally you will have Bachelors degree in Engineering/Technology or equivalent experience. In addition, we require the following which can be obtained through an internship as well as practical:
* Experience working in a Manufacturing environment of 2 years or more.
* Technical knowledge of engines, engine repair and engine teardown.
* Previous experience of 2 years or more with project management, problem solving and data analysis.
* Proficient with computer skills including MS Office Suite.
* Successfully demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and inspire others in a team environment.

A strong candidate will also have experience with the following:
* Engine troubleshooting and diagnostic repair.
* Familiarity and commitment to safety policy, strategic direction and goals.
* Experience performing in a quality organization and utilizing quality tools such as root cause analysis, SPC, and PFMEA.
