Job Responsibilities:
* Design Test plans based upon product requirements and applicable standards. * Coordinate with Engineering, Manufacturing and Quality to determine testing needs. * Design, build and acquire testing equipment to meet current and new product qualification and reliability. * Interface with Manufacturing and Engineering on new product programs where electronic components/assemblies are specified. * Document equipment operation, the build and logic flow of software including test limits and timing. * Analyze and solve on-going production test issues based upon data collection and statistical analysis. * Participate in analysis and reporting of warranty returns. * Provide input concerning the impact with current production and new product development. * Provide training and direction for production personnel or technicians on new and existing test equipment operation or methods. * Support Manufacturing and Quality in maintaining test equipment operation and upgrades as required.
Qualifications:
A four year degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent, with ten years, electronics Test Engineering experience; or a two-year college degree in electronics engineering, or equivalent, with computer programming and ten to fifteen years, as a primary electronics Test Engineer. Must be self-organized, and task focused with minimal supervision. The incumbent should have good communication skills, the ability to work effectively with people and the personal drive/sense of urgency necessary to provide needed support in the time frames demanded. This position requires an individual with the flexibility to commute to, and work at various Company locations (New Bremen, Celina, Greencastle, etc.)
