Quality Engineer-Lean Manufacturing/Metal Cutting/SPC, Six Sigma
South Carolina manufacturing company seeks a skilled Quality Engineer in the Spartanburg area. The Quality Engineer will perform real time root cause/corrective/preventive analysis actions and will provide strong leadership to hourly quality personnel. Local candidates preferred. Responsibilities:
-> Develop quality requirements, audits, and inspection practices
-> Promote corrective and preventive action for assembly and manufacturing operations based on feedback
-> Train associates in quality assurance and inspection requirements, use of gauging, and dimensional criteria, and print interpretation
-> Communicate root cause analysis, corrective, and preventive action and containment activities to model lines
-> Manage daily quality personnel, schedules, vacation, and time and attendance system
Requirements:
-> Bachelor?s Degree in Engineering or related field
-> 3 - 5 years experience in quality assurance, quality engineering, or related discipline
-> Internal/lead auditor certified for ISO 9001
-> PREFERRED: Experience in a metal cutting manufacturing environment
-> PREFERRED: LEAN and Six Sigma experience
-> Able to demonstrate strong critical thinking and problem solving skills, positive attitude, attendance, and ability
-> Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
-> Strong computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word
