In 2008, the Quality Organization within Chrysler became its own standalone function. Since then, the group has more than tripled in size. In setting high standards in the six types of quality: reliability, dissatisfaction, regulatory, perceived, performance, and service, Chrysler's product line and customer experience has improved dramatically. The Chrysler Quality Organization is seeking a new college graduate interested in beginning a career in the automotive industry. We are seeking a top performing individual with an undergraduate or graduate engineering degree -- specifically mechanical or electrical engineering - to contribute to the organization's overall growth. The selected candidate will be a high-energy, hands-on individual with strength of convictions and leadership presence. The Quality Organization's fast paced dynamic environment is the ideal environment for the Engineering graduate to gain exposure to real world challenges and rewarding experiences. Additionally, the chosen candidate will be gain hands on experience to develop their business acumen providing a solid foundation and potential to become a future leader.
This opportunity is located at the Sterling Stamping facility in Sterling Heights, Michigan and is an outstanding opportunity to launch a successful career with a major automotive company known in the industry for style.
Specific responsibilities for the role are:
• Respond to product quality issues utilizing available data
• Employ the standardization of best practices to ensure quality products
• Work with internal teams to develop and implement integrated content required to drive growth and maximize customer value
• Analyze and drive improvement to quality indicators
• Provide creative thinking to the analysis of data and the identification of new opportunities
Basic Qualifications: • Completion of a Bachelor or Master Degree (in Engineering from an accredited program GPA of 3.0 or higher (based on a 4.0 scale)
• Strong interest in automotive industry
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Computer proficient (including spreadsheet, word processing, presentation and database applications)
Preferred Qualifications: • Previous internship with an Automotive Manufacturer
