Continuous Improvement Manager Territory (if applicable): Supply Chain Business Unit: Supply Chain includes facilities and processes that operate to manufacture a finished product from raw material and deliver to the end-user. This business unit enhances competitive advantage, efficiency, innovation, quality and consistency. Position Purpose: We are seeking an individual responsible for leading, influencing, managing, tracking/trending, and reporting continuous improvement projects as determined by the Quality and Business teams (Feed/Dairy Foods/Winfield/MoArk divisions). Communicating project scope, timing, results, and sharing best practices with the production facilities and at the corporate level will be major aspects of this role. Developing tools/solutions, establishing best practices, determining/capturing KPIs, and training employees are areas this role will be expected to lead as well.
Act as Project owner for key TMM projects within Quality Assurance area. This person will continually expand and enhance knowledge level of lean manufacturing and industry ""best in class"" manufacturing cost savings projects and operations practices. This individual will serve as the single point of contact for continuous improvement working as the liaison between plant operations and headquarters. Managing the development and implementation of ""best practices"" in all areas of plant operations and the optimization of plant operations and/or equipment related Kaizen events and Targeted Savings Projects.
Develop, Educate and Train the Quality Assurance organization on continuous improvement tools to build competencies and create continuous improvement culture based on Six Sigma philosophy.
This individual will be responsible for actively contributing to the development of the future vision of Land OLakes Company's Continuous Improvement systems and processes while Participating in ongoing cross-functional savings analysis teams. Required (Basic) Experience & Education: We are seeking a 4 year Bachelor's degree - Food Science or related field highly preferred. Minimum 5 plus years experience within Manufacturing Quality Systems field with demonstrated ""change agent"" skills; inclusive of influence management, project management, and vision development and people motivation skills. Track record of managing continuous improvement projects with sustained results.
The ideal person possess proven problem solving skills inclusive of Root Cause Analysis/Problem Solving, Kaizen, and Conflict Resolution and track record delivering quarterly and annual goals through the implementation of robust processes.
