Develop and lead the Anoka Quality budget and staff. Deploy Lean principles and Six Sigma problem solving methodologies to achieve continuous improvement goals. Develop, implement and maintain quality systems to support compliance, regulatory and customer requirements.
MAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY: § Develop, implement and drive Anoka quality improvement of our products and services through strategy deployment. § Lead the Anoka quality resources including Quality Engineers, Quality Leaders, Quality Technicians and Receiving Inspection. Interact and support engineering, production, purchasing, and other departments impacting quality. § Plan, manage and budget the quality resource activities including: measurements, process improvements, employee training; capability and reliability of manufacturing process and equipment; supplier and customer interaction and calibration of measuring equipment. § Deploy Lean principles and Six Sigma problem solving methodologies to achieve continuous improvement goals. Lead, facilitate and participate in improvement events. § Develop, implement and maintain quality management systems to support compliance, regulatory and customer requirements. Manage ISO 9000 and ISO 14000 to ensure effective quality processes and integration of Lean continuous improvement. § Provide professional customer interface and focus as a champion of world class customer satisfaction levels. Manage and plan successful customer, product and layered process audits along with corrective actions processes. § Use of formal processes and advanced approaches to prevent and detect defects, record nonconformance’s and eliminate root causes of errors. Implementation of error proofing, process validations, GEMBA walks, FMEA, quality control plans and standard work. § Establish and support “Advanced Product Quality Planning” strategies and objectives for supplier product qualifications, new product introductions and engineering changes. § Support warranty and reliability policies, procedures and data acquisition to assure successful root cause analysis, capture lessons learned, share best practices and facilitate knowledge transfer. Act as legal liaison and representative regarding warranty, material disclosure, compliance documentation and customer contract reviews. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES: § 10% - 20% domestic and international travel. TRAINING / SKILLS REQUIRED: § Bachelor of Science degree, advanced degree preferred § Extensive Six Sigma and Lean experience and knowledge § 10 years experience in manufacturing, quality and/or engineering which includes leadership § Regulatory and compliance experience preferred (ISO9000, ISO14000, TS, Underwriters Laboratories, RoHS, REACh, FAR/DFARS) § CAPA, FMEA, PPAP, Gage R&R, Calibrations Systems, Reliability and Statistics, GD&T SUPERVISION OF OTHERS: § Quality leaders, engineers and technicians.
