Job Description
Position Purpose:
Manage the daily operations of the Quality department to ensure that Company policies, operations, and procedures meet customer, Company, and industry quality requirements for the Air-cooled business.
Responsibilities: * Manage the development of and the compliance of the overall quality assurance and quality control programs at the Arcade facility. Monitor quality through internal corrective action process and implementation of metrics to ensure that the products are of the highest quality and in compliance with established company policies. Identify problem areas and trends and propose solutions while working closely with Application Engineering, Design and Operations. * Supervise and manage direct reports - Quality Technician(s), Quality Inspector(s),Quality Engineer(s) * Prepare for and oversee ISO 9000, PED and customer audits, and other regulatory and/or national & international standards. Maintain and update QA Manuals. Perform the ISO required Management Review and Internal Audits. Lead division efforts in obtaining new and/or additional quality certifications as required. * Arrange and facilitate training as needed. * Provide technical support and share knowledge with other groups i.e. sales, manufacturing and engineering, and other divisions acting as mentor and teacher. * Handle all aspects of customer returned warranty work from customer. Manage the internal RGA systems and policies and corrective actions. * Facilitate manufacturing operations by developing a clear line of communication as issues arise and solutions to allow for minimal impact to production flow while ensuring quality product delivery. * Additional responsibilities * Develop quality procedures in accordance with ISO and customer requirements. * Work with outside service providers on testing and inspection * Travel to customers (domestic and international) as required * Prepare customer quality documentation as required such as PPAP, Control plans and FMEA’s. * Coordination and communication with our China facility, coordinating internal and customer quality corrective actions and product launch requirements. * Prepare monthly reports
