Quality Manager - Leaf River Cellulose - New Augusta, MS
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
REQUIRED:
Bachelor of Science degree in a science related or technical discipline
Leadership skills and the ability to motivate people to create value and eliminate waste.
Ability to promote an effective team environment.
Use statistical and quality tools to help meet or exceed quality goals.
Provide on-call Quality assistance to mill.
Willingness to work in industrial / manufacturing plant setting.
Maintain strict adherence to safety rules, CBT training, and compliance regulations.
Proficiency with MS Office products.
Minimum travel to address customer needs.
Willing to work in a tobacco free environment.
PREFERRED:
A minimum of 5 years supervisory experience.
Six Sigma and Root Cause Analysis experience.
ISO knowledge / background experience.
KEY RESPONSIBILITES:
Instill and maintain a quality culture.
Manage the Quality Assurance System to ensure safe, accurate testing, and grading of product which meet or exceed customers expectations.
Provide manufacturing Process Capability index performance data to identify and communicate improvement areas.
Use the Quality Feedback System to communicate and reduce poor workmanship issues.
Provide timely resolutions to customer inquiries, feedback investigations, and corrective actions.
Support the business effort to benchmark existing products, commercialize new products, and drive continuous improvement.
Lead machine and customer-related quality improvement trials.
Assist with trial mill cost reduction opportunities to minimize customer impact.
Market GP Cellulose Products in Compliance with Applicable Laws and Regulations.
Adhere to all plant health, safety, and environmental guidelines, policies and procedures.
Oversee ISO Quality program.
