Job Description Summary: Key leader in GATT Journey towards perfect Quality. Responsible for standardization and improvement of GATT Quality Management Key processes and Systems. Champion of variation elimination in all manufacturing and business processes. Responsible for creation/management of a GATT Quality Management System in conjunction with the GATT Leadership. Ensures all Quality Systems are managed and aligned with Goodrich Quality Management System. The Voice of the Customer advocate within the business. A critical leadership role in product and process compliance to ensure safe and reliable products.
Essential responsibilities: 1. A proactive leadership role that drives the development of robust processes to achieve Perfect Quality 2. Responsible for creation and execution of the GATT Quality Policy Deployment Matrix, Macro-plan, Risk register and Reviews as per Goodrich Operating System principles
3. Coordinate the GATT Quality Leadership Team to ensure team work and accountability
4. Create and Maintain a GATT Quality Management System in conjunction with the GATT Quality Leads and Goodrich Enterprise Quality Team.
5. Define and ensure consistent deployment of Quality Tools and techniques across GATT in conjunction with sites Quality Leads, Goodrich Enterprise Quality Team and GATT Leadership.
6. Champion for continuous improvement activities that drive waste, variance and non conformance from the production processes with a strong bias for action.
7. Develop and sustain culture of variation elimination across GATT. Actively deploy coaching to all GATT leaders to support AS9100 Certification and Nadcap Accreditation.
8. Ensure definition and alignment of Quality personnel skills and competence across GATT
9. Measure and coordinate reporting to Senior Leadership Team of progress achieved in Quality improvement across the GATT facility.
10. Support Quality Leads as required to achieve GATT targets
11. Is the advocate for the VOC (voice of the customer) ensuring customer requirements are realized. Will lead GATT AS9100 Certification and Nadcap Accreditation. Quality Lead focused on operational performance improvement.
Basic Qualifications: Requirement Lean Practitioner certified preferred Strong understanding of Enterprise and Regulatory Agency Requirements Successful implementation and leadership of advanced Quality Management Systems and Continuous Improvement activities. Usually progressive leadership responsibilities. Strategic planning development & deployment skills, familiarity with Policy deployment approach. Demonstrated experience with problem solving tools, process management tools, measurement and assessment tools. Demonstrated experience with customer focused activities and relations development. Ability to lead projects, develop and mentor leadership. Able to train other leaders in QMS and continuous improvement / 6sigma activities. Operations and business experience, has had active participation in team improvement activities within these areas. Excellent communication skills, ability to communicate at all levels inside the business and externally with customers and regulatory agencies. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to facilitate and motivate teams Bias for action and sense of urgency to obtain results. Good listening skills and is available to anyone who may need to interface with the Quality leader. Strong customer, Quality and continuous improvement focus.
Judgement and Decisions: Responsibility to detect and mitigate risks of Quality non compliance across GATT Responsibility to measure process capability improvement and challenge progress Customer Satisfaction coordinator for GATT with right to challenge complacency.
Required Skills A Minimum of 10 years Technical experience of Engineering, Manufacturing and/or Quality processes Technical qualification at degree or higher level of education Fully conversant with AS 9100, Airworthiness and Aerospace regulatory requirements Able to write and speak fluent English and Chinese.
